The Békéè Ritual: How to Use Békéè for Healthier Hair

Hello, my fellow Békéès. If you’ve reached this level, then I’m impressed at how seriously you’re taking your haircare journey and how inquisitive you’ve become. You’re not just looking for products anymore you’re learning how to care for your hair, and I love that for you.

Let’s dive into today’s article.

Békéè is an excellent addition to your haircare routine because a little truly goes a long way. If your hair is low-porosity 4C like mine, you’ll want to pay extra attention to this routine.

One thing I’ve learned is that when you use the Békéè Oil and Butter together, you may notice product buildup if you apply them too often. That’s because they’re a powerful combination designed to lock in moisture, not to be layered heavily every single day.

The goal isn’t to keep adding product. The goal is to keep your hair moisturized.

Békéè Ayurvedic Hair Butter Being Applied

The Moisture Rule

After washing your hair or wetting it properly:

● Apply your leave-in conditioner.
● Follow with a small amount of Békéè Ayurvedic Hair Oil.
● Seal everything in with Békéè Ayurvedic Hair Butter.

After that, your job isn’t to keep adding more butter every day. Instead, lightly mist your hair or scalp with water for the next 3–5 days, depending on your hair’s needs.

When it’s time to moisturize again, repeat the routine: leave-in first, then oil, then butter.

Following this order helps reduce buildup while keeping your hair hydrated.

Before Wash Day: Pre-Poo First

One of my favorite habits is pre-pooing.

If you’ve never heard the word before, don’t worry. Pre-poo simply means preparing your hair before shampooing so it doesn’t lose more moisture than necessary.

My Simple Békéè Pre-Poo Recipe

You’ll need:

● Okra or flaxseed
● Rosemary
● Dried lemongrass
● One teaspoon of grapeseed oil

Method

● Boil the okra or flaxseed with the rosemary and dried lemongrass.
● Strain the mixture.
● Add one teaspoon of grapeseed oil.
● Apply it generously to your hair before shampooing.

Your hair will thank you for the extra slip.

Step One: Shampoo

Your shampoo is one of the most important parts of wash day. Think of shampooing like giving your scalp a gentle massage instead of scrubbing it aggressively.

Use circular motions with your fingertips. Cleanse your scalp thoroughly, then work the lather down toward your ends before rinsing.

Gentle hands always win.

Step Two: Conditioner

Conditioner is where you begin putting moisture back into your hair after cleansing.

Apply it from your mid lengths down to your ends, where your hair usually needs the most love.

If your hair is thick like mine, work in sections so every strand gets coated. Leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing.

This gives your hair time to soften, making detangling much easier and helping reduce unnecessary breakage.

Step Three: Deep Conditioner

Deep conditioning is the moment I like to call the “love language” of wash day.

Unlike regular conditioner, a deep conditioner spends more time nourishing your hair.

Apply it generously in sections, paying extra attention to your ends. Cover your hair with a shower cap and let it sit for 15–30 minutes.

If you have a heat cap or can wrap your head with a warm towel, even better.

When you rinse it out, your hair should feel softer, more manageable, and ready for the next step.

Step Four: Békéè Ayurvedic Hair Oil

Now comes one of my favorite parts.

Add a few drops of Békéè Ayurvedic Hair Oil into your palm and gently massage it into your scalp.

Don’t forget your ends they’re the oldest part of your hair and deserve extra care.

The massage isn’t just relaxing. It turns your routine into a moment of intentional care.

Step Five: Békéè Ayurvedic Hair Butter

Finally, seal everything in.

Scoop a small amount of Békéè Hair Butter, warm it between your palms, and smooth it through your hair.

Then give yourself another gentle scalp massage.

Sometimes we rush through haircare. I hope this step reminds you to slow down.

Protective Styles Need Love Too

One of the biggest mistakes people make is forgetting their natural hair once it’s tucked away.

Whether you’re wearing:

● Braids
● Twists
● Cornrows
● Threading

Békéè can still be part of your routine.

Lightly mist your scalp, massage in a small amount of oil, and avoid overloading your roots with butter.

Your protective style should protect your hair not leave it dry underneath.

How Often Should You Use Békéè?

Because of the potency of the products, you don’t need to use them every day.

After properly moisturizing your hair, that routine can comfortably carry your hair for 3–5 days, depending on your hair type and environment.

A Few Friendly Reminders

● Mist your hair with water between moisturizing days.
● Wash your hair every 1–2 weeks, depending on your routine.
● Pre-poo before wash day whenever possible.
● Be patient. Healthy hair grows through consistency, not rushing.

Thank you for staying until the end.

I hope every wash day feels a little softer, a little calmer, and a little more intentional with Békéè by your side.
